The IIA is the first "autonomous" International Organization to be dedicated to supporting bitcoin adoption in the territory of its member sates and its Managing Director is elected by citizens who are members of the Nektar DAO through a public and global voting process. 

Any members of the Nektar DAO can recommend a candidate and run or vote for the position of Managing Director of the IIA. In addition to electing the Managing Director, members of the Nektar DAO can also directly govern and intervene on important policies.
